Thank you for your interest in the Red Velvet Web.Thirty year director – producer Mary Giuffre and associate producer – writer – publicist Paula Kehoe have come together to co-create a documentary film project meant to inspire true equality for women.
Gender equality is a basic human right. Our intention for this film is to educate the Canadian public and beyond, by highlighting the indispensable roles of women. As Canadians, we are privileged; however, Canadian women still deal with inequality in many areas. The intention of this film is to hold the indispensable roles of Canadian women as an example of what is necessary and what is possible, and to encourage positive change on a local, national, and global scale.
To further the full understanding that anything less than equality is unacceptable, the Red Velvet Web, a feminist film of the highest integrity, will be offered to Women’s Studies programs in universities, colleges, high schools, education centres, online events, and conferences.
